![]() ![]() This is a macro that has been running for years on Excel version 2010 and always worked. However in one of my older files, when i try to execute this code, i get a run-time error '1004' Activate Method of Worksheet class failed. ![]() In a newly created workbook (created with the newly upgraded Excel 2013) then it works without a hitch.īTW, the variable sheetName has been previously defined. ThisWorkbook.Worksheets(sheetName).Activate The reason why I ask this is because if run the code is it possible this isn't working because the file was created in a prior version of excel? and then i upgraded office to version 2013? Here are some observations/Thoughts/Ideas/ i am having.ġ. I have some excel VBA code that works in prior versions of Excel but not in Excel version 2013.
